What is the Advanced Numerical Reasoning Appraisal (ANRA)?

The ANRA test, short for Advanced Numerical Reasoning Appraisal, measures higher-level numerical reasoning skills rather than just checking on basic mathematical capabilities. The ANRA is not your typical computational math test but instead assesses an individual’s capacity for deduction, interpretation, and evaluation. ANRA is split into two sections. The first is called Comparison of Quantities and consists of comparative data based on which you need to select the appropriate answer. The second section is called Sufficiency of Information in which each question has two statements giving specific information with five possible answer combinations. ANRA - Comparison of Quantities

In this part of the ANRA test you are required to make a comparison between two quantities, being A and B. For each question, you will find four answer possibilities, being: 

A: If the quantity under A is greater than the quantity under B.
B: If the quantity under B is greater than the quantity under A.
C: If the quantities under A and B are equal.
D: If insufficient information is given to make the comparison.

Explanation: 

In quantity A 32 bedsheets are red and 91 are other colors, so the cost is:
Cost = (32 x 11) + (91 x 13)
Cost = 1535 USD
In quantity B 90 bedsheets are red and 70 are other colors, so the cost is:
Cost = (90 x 11) + (70 x 13)
Cost = 1900 USD
So quantity B is greater than A
Therefore the correct answer is option B.

ANRA - Sufficiency of Information

In this section, you will be presented with a question and two statements, labeled statement 1 and statement 2, which both give certain information. You are asked whether the information in the given statements is sufficient to answer the question, either separately or in combination. 

Based on the information given in the statements plus your knowledge of mathematics you are asked to select one of the following options to answer the question: 

A: If statement 1 alone is sufficient, but statement 2 alone is not sufficient to answer the question.

B: If statement 2 alone is sufficient, but statement 1 alone is not sufficient to answer the question.

C: If both statements 1 and 2 together are sufficient to answer the question, but neither statement alone is sufficient.

D: If each statement alone is sufficient to answer the question asked.

E: If statements 1 and 2 together are not sufficient to answer the question asked.

Explanation:

Statement (1) tells us that there are more females than males. 
Statement (2) tells us that there are 250 females in town B.
