The premises in a syllogism always contain concepts that are or aren’t connected. The trick is to draw out the premises like in the example below.

The premises are:

“All movies are interesting.”

“No movie is horror.”

“All Horrors are epic.”

Here you see, Horrors are a subset of Epic and movies are a Subset of Interesting, but there is no overlap in Epic and Interesting.

 

Watch out you don’t use your own knowledge to reason. Some premises aren’t logical, but you have to assume them as true for these tests.
